Today, on the first day of Cerulean Warbler Weekend 2010, participants recorded nearly 75 species of birds and close to 20 species of butterflies.  21 people met at the Otis Farm Bird Sanctuary at 5:30 am with the objective of finding a Henslow’s Sparrow.  Expert birding guide, Caleb Putnam, led the group to the elusive sparrow–a success.  Later in the morning, birders recorded the flagship species of the event: the Cerulean Warbler.
